Project
Many families with babies, young children and the elderly currently lack protection and when sirens sound, they seek shelter in their toilets, which is insufficient and unsafe. These residents are often living in the more affordable but older apartment buildings.
We are urgently raising funds for 16 above-ground bomb shelters for local residents. Israel is currently bombarded with missiles from Hamas and fear grows that Hezbollah will soon ramp up their attacks...

PROJECT
Bomb Shelters for Herzliya
We are urgently raising funds for 16 x above-ground bomb shelters.
Israel is currently bombarded with missiles from Hamas and fear grows that Hezbollah will soon ramp up their attacks.
Many families with babies, young children and the elderly currently lack protection and when sirens sound, they seek shelter in their toilets, which is insufficient and unsafe. These residents are often living in the more affordable but older apartment buildings.
The closest bomb shelter for these residents is over 60 seconds minute run away which, according to the IDF, is not enough time to seek shelter from incoming missiles or falling shrapnel.
The Israeli government is placing a high priority on supporting Israel's northern and southern communities, which are at the most high risk and in need. This is leaving Israel's centre more vulnerable, especially people in lower-income housing.
Municipal Cities across the centre of Israel are doing a wonderful job in an extremely challenging, traumatic time. However, they cannot do everything. Private donations are needed to augment the government's efforts and fund shelters in specific locations.
Residents are pooling their funds but need further support.
n.b. Due to security reasons, we are not sharing the locations of
the shelters.
